Consumer Credit Counseling Service of Hampton Roads
(CCCS) can help you get back on track financially. As a non-profit member agency of
NFCC, we offer budget, credit, and debt counseling
services in person and by phone.
Our counselors find individualized solutions for
difficult problems. We work with you and your creditors to reduce interest and
finance charges, set up one convenient monthly payment, reduce collection calls and create
a sound plan to get you out of debt. Through CCCS, your creditors get paid and
you get peace of mind.

What
is CCCS?
CCCS is a non-profit agency licensed by the
Commonwealth of Virginia to provide free budget and debt counseling to any individual or
family with debt problems regardless of race, religion, sex, national origin or income.
CCCS does not provide legal advice.
CCCS does not lend money.
CCCS is supported by contributions from merchants,
banks, consumer finance companies, industry, credit unions, doctors, lawyers, and other
community-minded firms and individuals.
CCCS is affiliated with and follows the guidelines of
the National Foundation for Consumer Credit
The polices and objectives of CCCS are determined by
a volunteer Board of Directors. Its members represent broad community
interests and diversified business and professional backgrounds.
CCCS Promotes
Family Stability and Reduces Bankruptcies
CCCS minimizes work absenteeism, telephone calls from
creditors at work, and the possibility of wage garnishment.
CCCS helps alleviate family tension caused by
financial problems.
CCCS makes presentations to employees, businesses and
community groups. Good budgeting techniques are discussed and illustrated.

living expenses plus creditor payments
exceed income, you may qualify to enter the
Debt Management Program

arrangements may save you money and maintain
good creditor relations through prompt,
consistent payments.

make a payment each month into the CCCS
office. These funds are
deposited in a trust account and distributed
monthly to your creditors.
